Products

ThyssenKrupp Titanium manufactures semi-finished products of commercially pure titanium and titanium alloys. The product range comprises

• ingots,
• open-die forgings,
• flats,
• tubes.

As fully integrated titanium producer the production starts by melting titanium sponge in VAR furnaces or re-melting titanium scraps in a scull melter.
VAR Ingots weighing up to 7.5 t are produced. Such large ingots offer the following advantages:

• large and cost-efficient batch manufacture of finished products exhibiting uniform quality.
• manufacture of large slabs for processing into coil on steel rolling facilities.
• manufacture of long products of large cross section and high degrees of reduction, with optimal properties.

The Skull-Melter plant produces ingots as pre-material for long products or cast slabs for production of cp plates weighing 1000 kg.
